Maxwell Waitt

Maxwell Waitt is a big inspiration for sister Hailey Waitt, but who is Maxwell Waitt, and how do the two siblings collaborate to create a better world?

First, where is Maxwell Waitt from? Born in Sioux City, Iowa, Maxwell Waitt was raised in Southern California. While California was home, he also started traveling at a young age—something he soon discovered he had a true passion for. From the energy of a foreign country to the architecture of its cityscape to the rolling hills of its countryside, the passion of travel has had a profound impact on his endeavors throughout his life thus far. 

Background Experience

Max attended the University of Southern California, graduating Magna Cum Laude  with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in Digital Entrepreneurship.

After recently obtaining his real estate license in California, Max is currently working on creating a real estate development brand, ENZI, that focuses on building boutique developments with an emphasis on sustainability.

Humanitarian and Conservation Causes

The climate crisis is a cause close to Max’s heart, and he believes everyone has a role to play in developing a new way for society to operate, whether it’s sustainable management of the world’s ecosystems or building new developments with an eye on green credentials.

He believes that conservation, sustainability, and economic power go hand-in-hand, and it is this belief that drives his latest ventures.

Maxwell is an entrepreneur with a constant desire to create a better world for future generations to enjoy. By harnessing the power of the latest technology and initiating well-placed investments in sectors with a historical lack of recognition, Maxwell hopes to change lives. 

Together with his sister, Hailey, Maxwell Waitt is also an active member of the Waitt Foundation. He serves on the Investment and Audit Committee to advance funding and award grants to NGOs, governments, private businesses, and scientists.

His philosophy on preserving the world’s oceans and protecting them for future generations is that a hands-on, data-driven approach is the only option that makes sense. He has supported scientific expeditions, ocean economic planning, and collaboration in almost 80 countries with his expertise and talents.

In addition to his conservation efforts, Waitt is a supportive member of The Trevor Project, serving as a trained chat counselor as well as a leader of their campaigning and fundraising efforts. He devotes his time to causes like this because he strongly believes acceptance from at least one adult at an early age can decrease LGBTQ suicide risk by up to 40%. 

Current and Future Endeavors 

Maxwell also has a deep-seated passion for travel. He brings that passion to one of his newest endeavors that were inspired, in part, by his travel-obsessed sister, Hailey. Together, they have formed a brand-new boutique hospitality brand—Orli La Jolla—set to debut in the summer of 2022. This boutique brand focuses on harnessing the power of automation to create a seamless luxury guest experience to suit the modern traveler's needs.
